Flexible printed circuit board manufacturers to enjoy strong 1Q15
Buoyed by brisk demand for Apple’s iPhone 6 devices, as well as new wearable devices, Taiwan-based flexible PCB (Flexible printed circuit board) makers Zhen Ding, Flexium and Career are expected to see their first-quarter revenues buck seasonal trends,according to industry sources.
Continued strong demand for the iPhone 6 devices has enabled the three FPCB suppliers’ production utilization rates to remain high levels, said the sources. Meanwhile, shipments for new orders for wearable devices are set to kick off which will lead to a particularly strong first quarter for the companies, the sources added.
Revenues at Zhen Ding, Flexium and Career are forecast to register double-digit growth on year in the first quarter of 2015, the sources indicated.
In addition, Zhen Ding, Flexium and Career will continue expanding their production capacities in 2015. Nevertheless, their annual capex for the year will not be higher than the levels in 2014, when the companies had aggressive capex plans, the sources noted.
