Apple will buy all HDI PCB plates produced by Unimicron at its full production capacity amid HDI board supply shortage worldwide, according to a report by Chinese-language news site The Liberty Times, as noted by BrightWire, citing “unidentified analysts”.
Unimicron said it will raise its capital expenditure to NT$10.67 billion (about $341 million) in 2015 to expand production capacity for Apple’s orders.
Also, China pcb manufacturers are expecting continued benefit from the growing market for security products, fueled by heightened safety awareness. Video surveillance, access control and remote management, and intruder alarms are the key categories driving this development.
